Kand’y
Real-time software (Processing)
2014–2018
Kand’y is a software-based, generative artwork that produces abstract compositions loosely inspired by Vasily Kandinsky’s Komposition 8.
The code relies heavily on random chance to govern each composition, from colours and shapes to patterns and grain, so every image it produces is one of a kind.
Every time the software runs, it creates a series of images and saves them to the local drive.
Selected images are printed as 1 of 1 on archival paper.
